Dave and I groomed Onyx and Phoenix today, then Phoenix and I taught Dave how to bridle a horse.  Phoenix was great - offering his head, opening his mouth, and generally being very tolerant.  We then worked with Onyx, getting him to drop his head and then opening his mouth and taking the bit for a few seconds before being allowed to spit it out.  Elsa informed us that she may have to give up the farm because Wendy is leaving / giving up her horses.  I started some early searching for a stable that will take Percherons in our price range.  😕

Dave accidentally locked us out of the SUV tonight, with our cell phones and keys locked inside, so Cathy gave me a lift up to her house to use the phone while Dave finished mucking the stalls.  We gave the boys a thorough grooming while we waited for Roadside Assistance and Phee was a huge suck because he's shedding so badly.  Cathy told me he had a bad day yesterday - he was rearing and bucking outside of the barn, both going out and coming in.  That's highly unusual for him!
