June 2, 2007 It was unbearably hot today - 32 degrees Celsius and no breeze - so we didn't torture the horses by doing anything too extreme. Rob and Elsa had to go to a family function this afternoon / evening, however, so we volunteered to come out and water and grain the ones who needed it. I pulled some burrs out of Onyx's forelock and put fly spray on Phoenix but that was about it. We also stopped at Brubacher's and picked up our newly-cleaned winter blankets and some new type of hoof dressing to hydrate the hoof. June 2, 2008 I have a whole new set of expectations with the boys after the clinic! Flexing in the pasture and backing them to their grooming stations! I desensitized a bit then yielded the hindquarters and did LFR-2 with Phoenix. He was a little confused since we haven't done that for awhile but was pretty good.
