It was a cold and windy day out at the farm, but for some reason we decided to try Onyx's new saddle on him again and ride him in the roundpen.  I had to desensitize to the stepstool and placing my foot in the stirrup quite a lot, and then didn't help matters by not doing the saddle up tight enough.  Eventually we got it straightened out and I just did some flexing, backing and yielding of the hindquarters while up.  I also lunged Phoenix briefly in the riding ring and worked on yielding the forequarters with him.

Had a very relaxing night with the boys tonight.  We're in the midst of a January thaw this week and while there's still no sun, at least the temps have been above freezing.  We groomed them while they ate their hay, then Dave "picked" the corral and shelter while I got their buckets ready.
