JJ still in hospital - celebrated Rob's 50th birthday there with him, Elsa, Kym, Jay and Elsa's daughter.

We had a bad snowstorm yesterday and today was Rob's birthday, so we had a little party with everyone at the farm then played with the horses for a bit.  I mucked Phoenix's stall, groomed him, then just cuddled with him for awhile.  Dave brought Onyx up, groomed him in the barn, gave him a massage and then they went for a walk in the dark with Kym and Brandy.  We finally got a chance to talk to Meg and Kym about Clinton's visit - I don't think they really believed it happened!

Moved the horses to the back pasture after breakfast today so we could do a major re-haul of their shelter and throw down new bedding.  We brought them up to the roundpen after lunch and groomed them, then Courtney arrived to do trims.  While Onyx was being done, Phoenix and I went to the scary corner and did some lungeing and the Outback exercise.  I was having a rough night, missing Molly and feeling like a complete failure since moving here.  Dave and I talked some, then the night was so mild, I went outside to see if Bear was around and Phee saw me and came to the gate, so I went over and he rested his head on my shoulder and calmed me down.  This is what it's all about. 

And that's exactly why I love my horse so much, and miss him so terribly.
