Big day with the horses.  Phoenix: lunging in pasture since he didn't want to be caught, then grooming, backing and yielding the hindquarters.  Tried yielding the forequarters again and it didn't go well - we both got really frustrated and tired.  Ended by sending him to either side of me and trying to get him to step across.  Onyx: lungeing-stage 1 which he did pretty good with, considering I haven't done it for awhile, then backing, desensitizing to lead rope and handistick, yielding the hindquarters, then we flexed both of them before treats.

We had some excitement tonight while mucking stalls: Onyx got out and decided to take a moonlit saunter around the farmyard.  Luckily, he made the mistake of going into one of the pastures, so we just closed the gate and waited until he'd burned off that energy.  After mucking and grooming, I took Phee for a little walk through the barn, working on yielding the hindquarters, flexing and backing, then we did the sending exercise in and out of the barn.  He did great.
