Another bad snowstorm last night - they are saying we are approaching record amounts this winter.  We had our "spa night" tonight instead.  At least it's warming up a bit so Dave took Onyx's blanket off and we groomed both the boys.  Phoenix is starting to shed his winter coat quite heavily - especially between his legs and on his chest.  We used the massager on both and then I worked on teaching Phoenix to drop his head.

I'm still quite sick with a sinus infection but we had to get out and take care of the boys and we even got there while there was daylight, so we mucked stalls while they were in the riding ring.  Brought them in afterwards and groomed them while they ate and did a few basic groundwork exercises to remind them who we were, since they were a bit crusty about being left out!

Groomed the boys today, then I rode Phoenix bareback down the road while Dave led Onyx along and beside us.  Phee is still really tensing up when we get to the trees along the driveway so I tried flexing and backing him down today and it worked partially.  He was great once we got out on the road - a little spin when a loud van went past us, but dead quiet around lots of traffic on 14.  He was also fine coming back into the yard - silly horse!  We turned them out back after and cleaned the shelter.
