Desensitized Phoenix to the dressage whip, a black garbage bag and a white plastic bag tied to a long whip with Elsa's help.  He seems to be most afraid of things coming up near his left side, especially the ears and head.  Showed Dave how to saddle Onyx - he still needs work with the bridle - Onyx did not want to take the bit today.  Dave rode him (with me leading) for awhile, but the saddle slipped under Onyx's belly when Dave dismounted.  Tighter next time!  Then I re-tacked him and rode him up and down the driveway, flexed him and backed him a few steps.
