They are calling for more snow or freezing rain tomorrow, and Thursday the stores are holding a job fair, so Dave and I are squeezing in visits where we can.  We groomed the boys tonight then I did some "touch and rub" exercises with the poll on Phoenix.  I have found it's a good reminder with him to move his feet a lot - even in the stall - so I did quite a bit of moving him when I groomed.

February 25, 2010

I spent time with the kittens this morning then "tried" to take the horses for a walk.  They were so-so down the driveway, but it was very windy out on the road, so we didn't go far.  On the way back up the driveway they both got really spooky and Phoenix ran me over when he bolted and Onyx got away from me.  It took awhile to catch him, but I lunged him in the cooral and then did some intense desensitizing with Phoenix up and down the driveway until he was calm and quiet.
