Woke up to black ice yesterday and couldn't go into work because the roads were so bad.  Today it is bitterly cold and winds up to 100 km/h plus when I got out to the farm, every surface was covered in a sheet of ice.  Basically I just groomed Phoenix in his stall, then did some mini exercises in yielding the forequarters right there, then I just hung out with him for awhile.  Slid my way down to Onyx to check on him then came home.

The Weather Network said it was going to be partly sunny and warmer today, so I brought the bridles and planned to ride after we groomed the boys.  Dave stayed in the roundpen with Onyx and did some groundwork while I did a pre-ride check with Phee.  We got out to the road and the wind was brutal, so we only went 1/2 way to 14, then came back, but at least he was well-behaved.  Rode Onyx in the side pasture to avoid the wind.  He did pretty good, but needs to burn off some energy!
