After 10 days away, the boys were really in need of a thorough groom - lots of shedding and mud!  We took them on a walk to Boot Hill after and worked on flexion and yielding the hindquarters.  Also desensitized to a plastic bag and boards.

Quite the challenge: I tried to teach Dave and Onyx how to lunge together tonight!  Onyx is just learning how to do soft circles around me and I think Dave's cues were confusing him at times in the hayfield tonight.  Plus Onyx started walking all over him so it's definitely needing work!  I think I'll put them both in the roundpen first so they're not tripping over the rope, too!  After an hour of that, I only had time to groom and cuddle with Phoenix.

Beautiful night and since we just cleaned stalls yesterday, we grabbed the boys and took them for a grazing walk to the back fields.  Phee was very excited to be out, so I did a little lungeing and backing with him, then we both jogged alongside the horses in between grazing.  We also took them into the woods again and did a little desensitizing - they were much better in there this time.  I ran for a bit on the way back with Phee cantering beside me, but he stopped when asked.  We treated Onyx's feet with "Today" and groomed them both before leaving.
