It was a very long day for me today, so Dave and I just did a quick groom of the horses and came home.  Phoenix was being a big "cuddle-bum" and even let me clean his feet in the middle of the pasture.

I had an awesome day with Phoenix - only Wendy and Mariah were out at the farm and they were busy doing their own things, so I tacked Phee up and went on a working trail ride around the farm block.  We did serpentines, one-rein stops, yielding the hindquarters and backing, and anytime I put him on a loose rein, he was perfect.  I only had to push him once past the horses in the lower pasture, but he just looked at a bag that was flapping against a fence and only did one little jump.  We even trotted along the length of the pastures behind the shelters - I was so proud!

Got our hair done this morning then headed to Wallenstein to pick up Thrushbuster for Onyx, biotin and Renewal.  Moved the boys to the roundpen when we got home, then mowed the back lawn for the first time this season.  It started raining soon after, so the evening was cut short.
