When we got to the farm tonight, Kym and Brandy and Elsa and Bella were going for a walk, so Dave and I grabbed Onyx and Phoenix and went with them.  Elsa was trying to get Bella over her anxiety of being away from the farm and Phoenix helped with that.  Along the way, we worked on stopping on "whoa" then we did some flexion and backing when we got back to the yard.  Phoenix was amazingly calm tonight - even with a wild wind and a full moon!  I'm very proud of him.

Beautiful day today - it got up to 14C and the sun was shining, so I was dripping sweat with just a hoodie on while mucking stalls.  After, I brought the boys their treats and groomed them in the mud-filled riding ring.  I did some basic groundwork with Onyx just outside (Lunging for Respect, backing, yielding the forequarters, desensitizing) then pulled out Phee for similar (Lunging for Respect, circle driving, sidepassing, desensitizing).  When I put him back he was being a huge suck, so we just stood together for awhile - it was so relaxing. 

I miss my horse.  😢

The weather's been HOT the last few days, so we've gone back to the outside hose.  Whoo-hoo!  Turned the boys out on the side pasture for a couple of hours while we worked on the front pasture.  Re-seeded the front pasture, but it was still incredibly "viscuous-like" out there - hopefully the seed doesn't rot!
