Beautiful day, so we took the horses up in the hayfield where the footing was good and did some groundwork to spend some of that Spring energy!  Phoenix: Lungeing for Respect - Stage 1, backing, desensitizing to the stick & string all around his body, some yielding of the forequarters, and he did a beautiful sidepass without a fence!  Onyx: Lungeing for Respect - Stage 1 (he even tipped his nose into the center of the circle by the end!) then some great backing and a concept lesson on yielding the forequarters.  Both were very good boys!
