Devoted the night to Onyx, so I held him and let him graze while Dave groomed him, then Dave led him around the new round pen so he could see what his future holds.  😊  Bella kept jumping the fence to her pasture with Phoenix so I ran back and forth, putting her away.  We did some bridle work with Onyx, getting him used to accepting the bit then letting him spit it out, then we ended with him wearing it while we led him around the round pen again.

Phoenix kicked me and broke my right hand today while I was trying to put medicine for thrush in his hooves.  4-6 weeks in a cast!

Look closely and you'll see the cast on my hand in this photo.  He was pretty contrite when he saw me wearing it, I have to say.

Went out to see the boys tonight since we had to meet with AJ from the bank yesterday morning.  It was pouring rain when we got there so even though Andrea thought they might be turned out to pasture 24/7 this week, they were in their stalls tonight.  We mucked them out, then I flexed both horses by the ear before we started grooming them.  We gave them their treats then Dave and I looked at Nina's new foal - so cute!

Series of thunderstorms and rain came through the region all day today, so we left the boys in the corral.  Noticed Onyx had a much larger bump that Phee in front of his left shoulder this morning.
