My goal today was to have Dave practice one-rein stops on Onyx in the roundpen, but I think they were both nervous about the whole mounting procedure and got off to a rocky start.  Dave says he accidentally squeezed his legs while I was attempting to lead them into the roundpen, Onyx started spinning, and Dave fell off.  He was shaken but okay, so he got back on and we worked on Dave stopping and starting Onyx while I walked beside.  Then I rode Onyx for a bit and worked on one-rein stops with him.

Opened the front pasture up for the boys today.  They're calling for heavy rain tomorrow, so we rushed to get the rest of the mowing done tonight.
