The plan tonight was to take Phoenix and Onyx for a walk after grooming them, but Phoenix wouldn't let me catch him, so I wound up driving him around the pasture first. Once he did stand still and I got the lead on him, I lunged him in the pasture until he broke a sweat. He was a perfect angel the rest of the night and we did get the walk in. It was a beautiful evening, so after we put them back in the pasture, Dave and I watched Onyx's group from the top of the hill for awhile - they were playing and kicking up their heels.

Well, it appears that after 9 months of agony, we may actually be getting our own farm! There was a home inspection done on our property this morning and apparently the buyer was ok with the results so everything should be finalized by tomorrow night. We met Courtney about 4:30 out at the farm and had the boys' feet trimmed. Phee's split on his left front is about the same and Onyx still has a touch of thrush in his hind feet, so we'll continue to monitor. We let them graze after and I did some Lungeing for Respect - Stage 1, flexing and desensitizing with Phoenix.

Turned the boys out into the completed sand roundpen today for the first time and they seemed pretty happy: lots of rolling and sunbathing commenced. We took them for a long, grazing walk across 14 and back, but it was very hot and muggy, so we rinsed them off when we got back and turned them out in the side pasture for a few hours. Craig came over tonight for a barbecue and bonfire - beautiful, relaxing night!
