Beautiful day - warmer weather, no wind and Phoenix is back to eating hay in the pastures so he was the calm, quiet gelding I know and love!  He actually walked over to the fence when I called him and came willingly out with me so I threw on his bridle and rode him bareback in the roundpen with the cast on - I even trotted a bit and he was super.  Meg arrived shortly after, so we tacked Onyx up and she rode him for awhile then Dave got on and rode him at a walk.  They both did great!

Turned the boys out in the back pasture all day and added a few flakes of hay since the grass is pretty sparse back there already.  Brought them to the roundpen to rest for a couple of hours when we got home, then I round-penned them both for the 2nd time.  Phee was much more responsive tonight and I made Onyx canter more - very successful and they're catching on quickly!
