Beautiful night - the perfect weather, temperature and just a light breeze blowing.  I groomed Phoenix (and Bella) while Dave groomed Onyx, then I helped desnsitize the big guy to fly spray again.  We tacked Onyx up and I rode him up and down the driveway while doing one-rein stops and flexion with him.  He still plays with the bit but he caught on quickly with the stops.  We took the bridle off then and Dave got on him and I led them around with the halter.  The saddle slipped while Dave was mounting; he slipped off, but nobody was too badly hurt or shook up, so we tried again.

High winds, rainy and cold today.  We managed to turn the horses out on the side pasture for an hour this morning, but then back into a muddy corral, where they slept in the shelter the rest of the day.  We lost power for about 5 hours this afternoon and they're calling for snow tonight!
